Chef Jason Tepper started working at Java Works two years ago to help open our two new Fairview Park Locations (Cafe Blu & Bistro in the Park). Since then he has been an essential part of the management team as well as a hands on chef contributing to success of our busy locations.
After studying at the Culinary Institute of America and working at the famous French restaurant Galatoire’s in New Orleans, Chef Tepper retuned to the Washington DC area. He has worked at The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia, was the Executive Chef at Oceanaire Seafood in downtown DC. In 2002, Chef Tepper purchased La Miche, a premier French restaurant in Bethesda, and to continue serving the finest in French cuisine. Since Chef Tepper has been proprietor, La Miche has been voted the “Most Romantic” and “Best French” Restaurant in Montgomery County.
Chef Tepper’s love and appreciation of excellent food, service and ambiance are immediately evident in the dishes he prepares. His diverse culinary background, management style and attention to details, are complementary to the fast paced cafe and catering environment we work in today.
Though COVID-19 Jason and the team are keeping busy by preparing and donate meals to our local first responders at INOVA and Suburban hospitals.
